My wife and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary in August and I’d love to take her somewhere really special. We’re based in Palma but happy to drive anywhere on the island.
Looking for somewhere with amazing food, a beautiful setting, and ideally somewhere that feels like a proper experience rather than just a meal.
Budget isn’t really a concern for this one — it’s a once-in-a-decade kind of evening. Any suggestions?
Congratulations! For a truly special evening, I’d recommend Zaranda — it’s Mallorca’s only two-Michelin-star restaurant and the tasting menu is phenomenal. The setting at the Es Princep hotel is stunning too, right on the old city walls.
If you want something more intimate and rustic-elegant, El Olivo at La Residencia in Deià is magical at sunset. Ask for a terrace table.
For something a bit different, Andana in Llucmajor is set in a gorgeous old finca and Marc Fosh’s cooking is always exceptional.
All great suggestions above. We’d also add Bens d’Avall for sheer drama — the cliff-edge setting between Sóller and Deià at sunset is unforgettable. The wine list is exceptional too.
