We would love to know who is here. If you are comfortable, tell us a little about yourself:
Where are you based — on the island, nearby, or visiting from further away?
What is your relationship with Mallorca — do you live here, spend part of the year, visit regularly, or are you still planning your first trip?
What drew you to View Mallorca?
What do you most enjoy about the island — a place, a season, a ritual, a meal?
Is there one favourite spot you always return to?
What are you hoping to find or share in this community?
There are no rules here — write as much or as little as feels right. Even a line or two is a good start.
Hello everyone. I am Emma, originally from Stockholm but living in Sóller for the past four years.
I came to Mallorca on holiday in 2019, stayed in a small finca near Fornalutx, and could not stop thinking about the place after I went home. By 2022 I had made the move.
I work remotely in design, so my days tend to start with a coffee at Sa Fàbrica and a walk before sitting down to work. I swim most mornings between April and November — usually at Platja den Repic or sometimes the rocks below the lighthouse.
What I enjoy most is the light. And the quiet. And the oranges in February.
My favourite spot is the path from Biniaraix up through the valley. I have walked it probably fifty times and it never feels the same twice.
Looking forward to being part of this.
James here. Based in London but we have had a place near Alaró for about six years now — we spend most of the summer and a few weeks in winter.
I found View Mallorca through Instagram originally and it quickly became the one source I actually trusted for recommendations. Too many Mallorca guides are written by people who spent a long weekend in Palma.
What I love about the island is the variety packed into such a small space. You can have lunch in a mountain village and be swimming off a quiet cove an hour later. And the food has improved enormously in the past decade.
Favourite spot: the drive from Alaró up to Orient on a January morning with the almond blossom out. Nothing else comes close.
Happy to share what we have learned — especially around the central plain and the Tramuntana.
