Hidden coves worth the walk — share your favourites

One of the best things about Mallorca is that even after years here, you can still discover a cove you’ve never been to.

I recently hiked down to Cala Deià early in the morning before the crowds arrived — absolute magic. And Cala Varques near Manacor is stunning if you don’t mind the 20-minute walk.

What are your favourite lesser-known calas? I’m planning some weekend explorations and looking for inspiration. Not looking for the tourist beaches — I want the ones where you feel like you’ve found something special.

Cala Bóquer near Pollença is one of my absolute favourites. It’s about a 30-minute hike from the trailhead and you often have it almost to yourself, even in July. The water is incredibly clear.

Also worth mentioning Cala Tuent — it’s accessible by car but feels remote. There’s a small chiringuito there that does a simple but perfect pa amb oli.
