Write with care. Take a moment before you post. A detailed, considered contribution is always more valuable here than a quick one. If you would not say it at a quiet dinner with friends, reconsider.
Be specific. Name the restaurant, the beach, the route. Say when you went, what you found, why it mattered. Specificity is generosity.
Share what you know, not just what you have heard. First-hand experience and personal recommendations carry more weight here than links, rumours or things you read elsewhere.
Be kind and constructive. Disagree if you like, but do it with respect. No sarcasm at another member’s expense, no dismissiveness, no pile-ons.
Stay on topic. This community is about island life: food, culture, design, nature, homes, wellbeing, places. We do not host political arguments, culture-war debates or discussions unrelated to Mallorca.
No spam or self-promotion. If you run a business on the island, you are welcome here as a member — but this is not an advertising board. Mention your work naturally when it is relevant, not repeatedly.
Respect the tone. This is a curated space, not a free-for-all. We are not looking for “cheapest flights to Palma” or “where to party in Magaluf.” If a thread feels more like a mass-tourism forum than a View Mallorca conversation, we will close or redirect it.
Use a real name or recognisable identity. You do not have to use your full legal name, but we prefer identities that feel like real people rather than anonymous handles.
Accept the editing. Our moderators may rename topics for clarity, merge duplicate threads, or close conversations that have run their course. This is not censorship — it is curation. We want every page of this community to feel intentional.
When in doubt, read first. Spend a few minutes browsing before you post. The tone and depth of existing threads will tell you everything these guidelines cannot.
