Summer is here and there’s nothing better than a long, leisurely lunch somewhere with a view.
I’ve been loving Ca’s Patro March in Deia for the seafood and the setting, and Es Fum in Palma never disappoints for something more refined.
But I’m always looking for new places to try. What are your go-to spots for a proper summer lunch on the island? Bonus points if there’s a terrace with a sea view.
Would love to hear your recommendations — hidden gems especially welcome.
Great question! I’d add Béns d’Avall between Sóller and Deià — the cliff-side terrace is unbelievable and the tasting menu is worth every euro. For something more casual, Es Molí des Torrent in Santa Maria has an incredible courtyard and the lamb is fantastic.
Also don’t sleep on Sa Fàbrica de Gelats in Sóller for dessert after — best ice cream on the island.
If you’re open to heading east, Es Canyis in Port de Sóller is a lovely spot right on the water. Simple grilled fish, cold wine, no rush. That’s a proper Mallorcan summer lunch for me.
In Palma, Forn de Sant Joan has been consistently good every time I’ve been.
Adding Restaurant Miramar in Port de Valldemossa to this list. It’s a bit of an adventure getting down there but the setting is extraordinary — right on the water with mountains behind you. The paella is the best I’ve had on the island. Book ahead in summer though, it’s tiny.
